2nd Hand Culture

This site is recycled. It means it does not have any original page. Everything was done before, or conceived for other purposes. It is randomic. The contents page moves its lines everytime you go back to it, exactly in the way I did in the hyper-essay dotword, last year.

Yes, is the same revolving shelves idea I worked a lot in The Book after the Book, following Borges' Book of Sand. But this site is recycled, isn't it? A 2nd Hand Culture product and artifact....

And this site is 2nd hand in all levels. Even its scripts and applets are recycled. I attribute new values for their parameters and new functions to their performances. I didn't create them. Some I bought, most of them I use through the generosity of their creators.

Their authorship is preserved in the code. You just need to click your browser "view source" in order to get it and recycle it for you. The same occurs with its texts and images and the author (I) encourage you to copy, distribute and recycle them....

Recycled pages are very light and, in general, run similarly in any bandwidth,  browser (versions 4 and up, for NS and IE, obviously), and with few exceptions _ in spite of my efforts _ in Windows and in Mac OS.

In short, Recycled is the fruit of a belief _ ingenuous, nostalgic, romantic.... _ in democratic access,  open source, and cyberstream poetry.
